Wireless Router-what if i can accesss internet by a cable, but can't wirelessly

Wireless Router-What if I can access internet when I connect my router to my computer with a cable, but Wireless Network Connection shows No Internet Access

In this situation, please do as the following steps to solve this problem.

 

1.Check the IPv4 Address and DNS of your Wireless Network Connection.

a)   Click on Start and choose Control Panel.

 

b)   Click on Network and Internet.

 

 

c)   Click on Network and Sharing Center.

 

 

d)   Click on Change adapter settings.

 

 

e)   Choose Wireless Network Connection and right click on it; choose Status, then click on Details and check the IPV4 address and the DNS Server address.

2.1If your DHCP Enabled shows Yes, but your ipv4 DNS Server has no numbers, please do as 2.1.1 to add DNS manually.

 

2.2 If your DHCP Enabled shows No, please do as 2.2.1

 

2.3.If your DHCP Enabled shows Yes  and you can get the DNS and the IPv4 address from the router, please do as 2.3.1 to reset wireless settings of the router and try to connect your WiFi again.

 

2.1.1

a.   Right click Wireless Network Connection and choose Properties.

b.   Double click Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)

 

c.   Choose Using the following DNS server address. Click OK.

 

 

d.   Click OK.

e.   Check whether you can go to internet.

 

2.2.1

a.   Right click Wireless Network Connection and choose Properties.

b.   Double click Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)

 

c.   Choose Obtain an ip address automatically and Obtain DNS Server automatically. Click OK.

 

 

d.   Click OK.

e.   Check whether you can go to internet.

 

 

 

2.3.1

Login to the management page of the router, through type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the internet explore, and input the username and password, they are both “admin”

a)   Click on Advanced settings to go into the main page, then click Wireless Settings—Wireless Basic Settings to change the Primary SSID( the name of your wifi) and Wireless security to change or check your key(password)

 

 

b)   After the settings, please go to your Wireless Network Connection and refresh the network list, then connect to your WiFi again. You need to find your new SSID and input the new password to connect to it.
